Sunken cheeks can cause an old, gaunt appearance that often looks unhealthier than it is.
It can be caused by many factors, including significant weight loss, age and symptoms of HIV/AIDS. The appearance is due to volume loss (usually of bone and/or fat) and can be treated in a number of ways. We can help advise on which method is right for you.
What is the difference between CHA fillers and Other fillers?
CHAdermal filler is a thicker gel and lasts longer, and may be preferred for larger areas such as plumping up sunken cheeks and treating deeper furrows and lines. The other dermal fillers do not last as long but are available in varying degrees of consistency, making them more versatile. Thicker dermal fillers can be used for deeper lines such as the cheek furrows, while thinner dermal fillers can be used on finer lines such as the crows feet around the eyes and smokers lines on the upper lip. Dermal fillers are preferred for lip enhancement and shaping. CHAdermal fillers are generally best for the mid to lower face except the lip.
